Residential Interior Design

This early noughties family home situated adjacent the Brisbane River in the leafy suburb of Bulimba, was in need of intervention to elevate its aesthetic and rejuvenate its interior space to suit our client’s needs.

The clients had undertaken the landscaping and minor interior projects like painting and flooring on their own, but realised they needed professional assistance to reimagine their spaces to achieve their desired aesthetic.

A pared back palette was employed throughout the home to create cohesion between the spaces.

Richly veined Calacatta Viola marble, paired with light oak joinery and gunmetal hardware combine to create sophistication and balances minimalist and maximalist characteristics.

The fully integrated kitchen was complemented by a Pitt cooktop, cut directly into the bench top, allowing for minimal interruption as your eye travels over the bench top and range hood. Adjacent to this every wine lovers dream. A fully integrated and temperature-controlled wine display, holding 270 bottles of our client’s collection; the perfect dinner party backdrop.

The private spaces and wet areas offer a similar restraint pairing oak joinery with Carrara marble.

The Powder Room has a formed Carrara marble vanity and ribbed wall tiles paired with a smoked grey mirror and a hand-blown glass wall light, creating a refined yet luxe space.

On the upper level, the oak joinery and flooring is paired with light tactile fabrics and rugs to create a relaxing retreat. Claiming space from an adjoining linen closet, we were able to create a large walk-in shower, increasing the functionality of the Ensuite and overall Main Bedroom.

Richness was added to the light filled study by the addition of tan leather task chairs and the classic Eames lounger, the perfect home office.
