Residential Interior Design & Decorating
Cg Design Studio was engaged to design the renovation of this luxury sub-penthouse in one Brisbane’s most sought-after and prestigious locations. Once the display apartment for an iconic Brisbane City residential tower, this luxury apartment underwent a transformation to become a breathtaking modern classic.
Working with some of the original fittings too exquisite to remove, such as the unique marble tiles to the bathrooms, ornate brass light fittings and the distinctive pink marble in the guest bathroom, a new, aesthetic and palette was developed. Internal spaces were transformed, seeing new cabinetry, natural stone, fittings, carpet, furniture and wallpaper completely redefine this generous space. Custom paint finishes were applied to breathe new life into existing cabinetry and key furniture pieces, to achieve that quintessentially French soft and ornate aesthetic. A textured wallpaper was sourced to give the appearance of luxurious linen, and resulted in a very layered, yet refined look.
Intricate detailing was paired with a soft, neutral and fresh palette to ensure the harmonious balance of contemporary and classic design features. With a nod to the romance of classic French style, Brisbane River Apartment has a timeless elegance, sophistication and grandeur usually reserved for the likes of a luxury hotel.
